What Is Spiritual Sex?
The stereotype of sex and spirituality or “spiritual sex” is: candlelight, slow-motion, light-touch, quiet.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I’d like to widen the definition.
Spiritual can also include vigorous. What makes sex spiritual is not the setting or the trappings or the special effects or lack of them. It’s breaking out of the feeling of being enclosed in one’s self; it’s leaving any sense of the ordinary and knowing for seconds at a time that nothing is ordinary, that it’s all miraculous.
That’s what I think. What do you think?

It gives you the feeling of merging into Oneness.
Yes! Or careening-erupting-hatching-crashing into Oneness!
or could be good reading good writing (such as Sister India)
Well, that’s flattering. But seriously, Bob?
We have all this brilliantly wonderful equipment, an amazing gift given to us from source. Why not enjoy it in a manner of delight, pleasure and exploration? All experiences, whether sex or viewing a lovely sunset can be so greatly enhanced when we share them with a loved one. Spiritual sex to me is akin to allowing our sensations and perceptions to be as a playground, taking advantage of endless possibilities in creativity and pleasurable moments that give ultimate meaning to life and optimal living. Variations on a theme anyone?
I like the emphasis on pleasure, Mike. (And BTW, I’m on page 157; beautiful settings and action!)
