Grace Under Pressure in Yoga Class
How a New Zealand yoga teacher handles (on a good day) a moment of awkwardness/fear/feeling unappreciated.
From The Yoga Lunchbox:
"At yoga on Wednesday night only three people show up. It's easy to get upset about that – to worry about the cost of teaching versus the income of the class, to worry about why people aren't showing up, to worry about what to do to make it different.
Only I didn't. I let go of my desire for a full class and accepted what was in front of me, whole-heartedly. I changed up my teaching style and made it a small group lesson instead.
And you know what?
It was delightful. It reminded me of how much I love teaching small group classes and how rewarding they are for both teachers and students. That got me thinking about how I might set up more small group classes to teach."
